Utah men’s basketball has been heating up in the NCAA Transfer Portal.

New head coach Alex Jensen and the Runnin’ Utes picked up a commitment from Syracuse transfer guard Elijah Moore on Wednesday night.

The 6-foot-4, 176-pound guard spent one season with Orange, playing in 26 games before being sidelined with a toe injury.

Moore averaged 5.2 points, 1.5 rebounds and one assist per game during that stretch. He also shot 39.1% from the field and 31.5% from 3-point range.

His best game of the season came against Tennessee, when he scored a career-high 24 points. Moore was previously rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 90 player in the 2024 recruiting class, according to On3’s Industry Ranking.

He is Utah’s third transfer commit of the cycle, joining Fairleigh Dickinson guard Terrence Brown and Akron forward James Okonkwo on Utah’s roster.
