Utah Utes football fans remember linebacker Devin Lloyd as their own personal Punisher. It seemed like if an opposing player ever so much thought of getting by the defensive line, Lloyd was there to clean things up.

And as a rookie member of the Jacksonville Jaguars this season, Lloyd is picking up where he left off.

The former Ute leads all rookies in total tackles with 17, per the Jaguars. He’s also the highest-graded rookie of Week 2 on a list compiled by the website Pro Football Focus.

Lloyd, picked 27th overall by the Jaguars, amassed 225 total tackles while with Utah, 110 of those coming in his final season, 2021. He also recorded a total of 16.5 sacks which translated into 124 lost yards for opponents.
