The former Utah Utes men’s basketball player is finalizing a deal to become the new coach of the Grand Rapids Gold, ESPN reported Wednesday. Grand Rapids is the G League Affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, for whom Miller played six of his 17 seasons in the NBA.

Miller played for the Utes from 1995-1999 and was the No. 8 overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He averaged 12.1 points, 5.4 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game in Utah and finished his college career as the all-time leader in steals (254) and second all-time in assists (721).
