Utah Mammoth forward Alex Kerfoot undergoes surgery. Here’s how long he’ll be out.

The 31-year-old has yet to suit up for the Mammoth this season.

Utah Mammoth forward Alex Kerfoot is expected to miss at least two more months due to injury, the team says.

Kerfoot underwent surgery to “repair a core muscle injury,” the Mammoth announced Friday. Kerfoot is set to miss the next 8-10 weeks.

Kerfoot, 31, has yet to play a game this season.

Last season, the Utah forward tallied 11 goals and 17 assists over 81 games. He signed a one-year extension worth $3 million in March.
