Real Salt Lake coach Pablo Mastroeni and sporting director Kurt Schmid have both signed multi-year extensions.

“We are excited to confirm extensions for Kurt and Pablo, emphasizing the club’s commitment to alignment, stability and continuity as we continue building an elite club,” President of Soccer Operations for Real Salt Lake Jason Kreis said in a news release Wednesday. “Kurt and Pablo will help us achieve our goals of pursuing trophies, winning together through development and making our community proud on and off the field.”

Mastroeni has a 71-66-45 record as RSL’s head coach. The club has reached the postseason in all five seasons under Mastroeni. Most recently, the team lost in the wild-card round earlier this year.

Schmid has been with Real Salt Lake since 2021.

RSL also promoted former player Tony Beltran to assistant sporting director, the team said this week.
