Utah Jazz and NHL fans can attend draft parties at Delta Center

Here’s what you need to know if you’re planning to go.

It’s party time at the Delta Center.

Smith Entertainment Group will open its arena doors for both the NBA and NHL drafts later this month, offering two free watch parties for fans.

The events will feature live coverage of the drafts on the arena’s scoreboard, “real-time virtual access” to the team’s draft rooms, appearances from Jazz and Utah NHL players, a live DJ and other activities.

NBA Draft

June 26

Doors will open for the free watch party at 5 p.m. and the event will run through the first round, ending around 9 p.m.

The Utah Jazz currently hold the Nos. 10, 29 and 32 overall selections in the draft.

NHL Draft

June 28

Doors open at 4 p.m. and the first round is expected to end around 7 p.m.

Utah’s NHL team holds the No. 6 pick, and its 13 total picks are the most of any team in the league.

If you go

The arena’s team store and some food and beverage vendors will be open. Free parking is available at Park Place, across from the building’s main entrance. The Delta Center’s standard no bag policy will be in effect.
