‘How ‘Bout This Jazz’ podcast: Utah Jazz finally look like themselves in home preseason action

Plus: A Wade is likely to play in Utah this season — but not that Wade

(Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune) Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell (45) as the Utah Jazz host the New Orleans Pelicans, NBA basketball in Salt Lake City on Monday, Oct. 11, 2021.

After falling 0-2 in the preseason, it was all home cooking for Rudy Gobert and the Utah Jazz in their first game at Vivint Arena since June.

In the latest episode of the Tribune’s “How ‘Bout This Jazz” podcast, host/moderator Xoel Cardenas and Jazz beat reporters Andy Larsen and Eric Walden give you their takeaways from the Jazz’s 127-96 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night in Salt Lake City.

The guys also talk about an update to the Jazz streaming situation, as a new provider makes games available for fans. Also, a Wade appears set to play in Utah this season — but not the Wade you’re thinking about.

Lastly, the trio also talk about Joe Ingles, who is apparently not a rap fan — to Donovan Mitchell’s delight. Andy, Eric and Xoel give you their take on which album is better: “Donda” or “Certified Lover Boy” (spoiler alert: hilarity ensues during this conversation).
