Believe it or not but the NBA season is just around the corner.
Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley and the rest of the Utah Jazz return to Salt Lake City for the start of training camp on September 28.
Quin Snyder’s team will look to bounce back after their second-round playoff exit at the hands of the LA Clippers.
We at the Tribune are excited for the upcoming season. Our beat writers, Andy Larsen and Eric Walden, will be bringing you all the coverage.
And we have a surprise for you: We’re rebranding the Tribune’s Jazz Weekly Run podcast!
Each week, Andy and Eric will be talking about the latest Jazz news, matchup analysis, as well as give you their take on what else is happening in the Association.
Joining the podcast team is award-winning podcast host/producer Xoel Cardenas, who is also a former sports writer/columnist and news editor. The trio will be bringing a fun, multiple-topic podcast with the Jazz knowledge you’ll need to hear each week — all from the reporters you know and trust.
There’s just one more thing and we need your help with it: What should the podcast be called?
We figured the name “Jazz Weekly Run” is, well, kinda bland and a new name is needed. So we decided to go to you, the reader and Jazz fan, to help us choose a new name for the podcast.
On the Google Form below, write us your suggestion for a new podcast name. From there, Andy, Eric and Xoel will take a look at the nominees and pick a winner. (Puns welcomed, but not necessary.)
The rebranded podcast will tip-off in October! Find the podcast (currently still under the Jazz Weekly Run name) at sltrib.com/podcasts.
