Zach Wilson just can’t stop going viral

The former BYU star quarterback is all over the internet this offseason.

The NFL season hasn’t even started yet, and former BYU star Zach Wilson just can’t stop getting New York Jets fans hyped.

Wilson, who recently deleted his social media apps, has been a part of several viral moments this offseason. Some of them have come off the field, like the hoopla surrounding the intersection of his romantic life and former teammate Dax Milne.

But there have been plenty of moments on the field where Wilson has nearly broken the internet. The most recent of which came in a short video that shows him catching a football with just one hand.

The ball comes from out of frame in a perfect spiral and perfectly into the right hand of Wilson, who then stares at it for a couple of beats. The NY Jets’s official Twitter account compared the moment to a scene from the 1995 comedy “Billy Madison” where Adam Sandler catches a dodgeball with one hand and says, “Now you’re all in big, big trouble.”

Opposing NFL teams may actually be in big, big trouble considering how Wilson has looked during fall camp. Over the weekend, a video circulated on social media of Wilson casually flipping a sideways pass to teammate Garrett Wilson, who caught it with one hand.

A ridiculous sequence.

Earlier in the summer, Wilson reminded fans of his NFL Pro Day performance by launching a pass that looked eerily similar to the one he threw in March 2021.

But don’t take the internet’s word for it. Just read what Jets teammate CJ Uzomah had to say about Wilson recently.

“This dude is so stupid athletic,” he said.

The video below has Uzomah’s full thoughts on Wilson.
