Oregon’s Isaac Johnson, a former American Fork standout, enters transfer portal

Johnson heavily considered playing for BYU before committing to and later playing one season with the Ducks

Oregon forward Issac Johnson, a former basketball player at American Fork High School, has entered the transfer portal, The Salt Lake Tribune has confirmed.

Johnson committed to the University of Oregon in 2018, and played one season with the Ducks after returning from his mission as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He appeared in 14 games, averaging 2.4 points over 5.4 minutes.

Before committing to Oregon, BYU was among Johnson’s his top four choices. His brother, Spencer Johnson, has been a key contributor this season for the Cougars, who will play in the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament on Wednesday.
