The BYU men’s basketball team will have to wait a few more days to open West Coast Conference play. Due to a positive COVID-19 test within the Pepperdine program, the Thursday matchup against the Cougars has been postponed.
The Cougars will instead kick off conference play at San Diego on Saturday.
BYU was one of few teams across the nation that was able to play a total of 11 nonconference games, and survived the tough opening schedule with only two losses (against USC and Boise State).
The biggest highlight of the Cougars’ season so far has been a 72-62 upset win at then-No. 18 San Diego State.
