Bishop Oscar Solis, leader of Utah’s 300,000 Catholics, opened a new chapel at West Valley City’s Holy Cross Hospital on Monday.
The ceremony included Solis blessing the space, sacred objects and the altar.
The chapel will be open to those of all faiths and will host Catholic Mass. The hospital also debuted a remodeled main lobby Monday.
