Graphic shows which returning LDS missionaries will be released or reassigned

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, tens of thousands of missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are on the move.

Substantial numbers” will be returning to their home countries. Some eventually will be reassigned there. Many others will be released before they finish their two years (for young men) or 18 months (for young women) of volunteer service.

Proselytizers returning for health reasons also will be released.

On Monday, the Utah Area Presidency of the Salt Lake City-based faith released the following breakdown of which missionaries will be released, reassigned or remain where they are:
