Recently, The Tribune reported that the LDS Church has contributed a million dollars toward the defeat of an Idaho referendum to expand access to abortion.

The exodus of doctors in Idaho, since their restrictive abortion laws were passed, has severely reduced both general healthcare access and especially reproductive healthcare access. Who would want to practice medicine in a state that could potentially send them to jail for providing basic healthcare? Of course, those doctors are going to leave.

The next time BYU sports teams are greeted by a group of students in their prime reproductive years chanting something that The Tribune will not print, remember that actions have consequences.
