We lost a real one with the passing of Dolly Parton. The genuine love and sincere admiration for Dolly is quite possibly the only universal thing we all can agree upon.

She was an icon in entertainment and her efforts in philanthropy elevated her to legendary status. It is a level of well-deserved adulation that lesser leaders and celebrities crave, but will never earn.

Her greatness deserves recognition.

I propose that we add Dolly Parton’s name to the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. It should be easy to do. I understand there is a scaffold erected out front of the building and we can repurpose many of the letters from when Donald Trump’s name was pulled off the facade.

We could honor the legacy and contributions of a beloved, talented and intelligent woman. Who could possibly take issue with that?
