Many people think MAGA is taking the nation downward. There is plenty of evidence to show that things are actually up.

MAGA’s ICE murders are going up steadily.

MAGA’s war budget is skyrocketing.

MAGA’s investigations and prosecutions of Democrats are way up, with no end in sight.

MAGA’s consumer prices have been climbing steadily.

MAGA’s threats against health and wellness continue to rise in areas like public health and Medicaid.

MAGA’s revisions of history, codes of conduct, and virtually all varieties of law rise with every social media propaganda release.

MAGA’s Golden Age turns out to bring a healthy increase in wealth at least for the already rich, even if a substantial dip for the middle class and poor.

MAGA’s attacks against human rights like due process and voting rights are visibly enlarged each day.

MAGA has increased the level of literacy in the field of law-related education by revising the normally complicated constitutional law to read, “When you win an election, you can do whatever the hell you want to do.”

sltrib.com is now free to access — no subscription required. We made this decision because we believe access to trustworthy, independent news shouldn’t depend on what you can afford — especially as misinformation and AI-generated content continue to rise.

Free to read doesn’t mean free to produce. Our reporters show up every day to ask hard questions and hold powerful institutions to account. That work takes resources. As a nonprofit newsroom, we rely on support from people who believe it matters. Make a donation today to fund local news that serves Utah communities.
