I am writing to commend The Tribune and reporter Courtney Tanner for the article detailing the aftermath of the tragic deaths in Enoch. It would have been easy to sensationalize the distressing elements in the story, and indeed those facts merit good journalism and efforts to inform the public. Tanner’s article focused on the lives lost, the value and meaning of those lives and how a community can compassionately gather to remember those who have died in a manner that supports the grief of all affected. Further, I appreciate the care to include contact information for the domestic violence, rape recovery services and the suicide crisis line. Thank you for the responsible journalism in such a difficult and sensitive story.
