What we have just witnessed, as stressful as it has been, was a display of democracy at its very best.
“We the People” made a choice and in four years we will do this all over again. This is the way it was meant to work and, for the last 230-plus years, it has worked pretty well.
Unfortunately, we now have a lame-duck president who refuses to accept the election results. The American people have spoken and it’s time for Republican leaders, in the Senate and the House, to step forward and acknowledge our new president.
