Michael Cohen wrote in his book “Disloyal” that President Trump frequently made denigrating remarks about the Latter-day Saints. He is, in the words of Mary Trump, a sociopath and the “world’s most dangerous man.” He is a pathological liar.
The Book of Mormon describes a group of robbers who took control of the government, judges and lawyers, which led to the destruction of their society because they were unable to persuade most church members against supporting their corruption. History is repeating itself, and the lesson appears unlearned by many church members. It defies logic and understanding to see significant LDS support of a president who Sen. Mitt Romney described as a fake and a fraud in 2016. Romney has said publicly he will not vote for him this year. It is a significant red flag that many of Trump’s former advisers have declared they are voting for Biden.
Our democracy lies in the hands of voters, since Republican leaders have refused to set limits for Trump’s dishonesty and incompetence as president. A vote against Trump and the leaders who support him is a vote against the corruption that is destroying our nation.
