I reluctantly have to agree that our elected Republicans have shown that a temporary boost in unemployment benefits would extinguish workers' desire to return to their jobs. After all, their secure income and benefits, appreciably superior to anything they could expect to receive elsewhere, have obviously eliminated any inclination they might once have had to do something approximating their jobs.
