When it comes to climate change and the environment, President Donald Trump wins as the most apathetic U.S. president. In his four years in office, he pulled out of the Paris climate agreement, dropped climate change from the list of national security threats, loosened regulations on toxic air pollution, and downsized Utah’s national monuments to allow more mining. He turns a blind eye toward renewable energy. His political lobbyists, especially oil and mining corporations, “trump” all environmental scientific data.
We need a leader who cares about our planet, the planet our children will inherit. We are close to the tipping point and cannot tolerate another four more years of his disregard to climate change and destruction of the environment.
