I have a Black Lives Matter sticker, and I’ve been nervous about putting it on my car because I don’t want some stupid person to vandalize it or something. Isn’t it terrible that I have to worry about that?
But isn’t it a hundred times more terrible that Black people have to worry about their lives every single day? There are many people of color who feel unwelcome in our neighborhoods, cities and country.
After recent events in Wisconsin, and Real Salt Lake owner Dell Loy Hansen going on a racist rant about his players protesting, screw it. Even if it’s small, I need to do my part to let people of color know that they are welcome, wanted and valuable.
