Letter: Church has embraced technology commendably during pandemic

(Screenshot courtesy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) Latter-day Saint youths and their counselors are interviewed by Church Newsroom and Church News via Zoom video conference on Friday, June 26, 2020. Over 3,000 youths from more than 27 Caribbean countries and territories participated in the first-ever online For the Strength of Youth conference held on June 22-26, 2020.

During this challenging COVID-19 pandemic, I am grateful for the laws that protect our religious freedom. I am also thankful for the actions my church has put into place after having to cancel our regular church meetings.

Leaders of my church have encouraged their members to use technology to share gospel messages, hold virtual meetings and classes. So many of us have been blessed with technology like Zoom and Google Hangouts that allow our spiritual meetings to continue and assist us in making our homes true sanctuaries of faith.

As much as I am looking forward to getting back to our normal church services, I feel so blessed for the leadership and technology we have available to us in these difficult times.
