Letter: Stamp out racism now
(Ted S. Warren | AP file photo) Protesters raise their fists as they take part in a rally that followed a "Silent March" against racial inequality and police brutality that was organized by Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County, Friday, June 12, 2020, in Seattle. People marched for nearly two miles to support Black lives, oppose racism and to call for police reforms among other issues.
A letter of understanding about racial issues:
The human species is genetically programmed to fear difference and other races trigger this fear, which is in back of all racist behavior. But it is a human trait that has far outlived its usefulness.
It is past time for humanity to come to grips with it and begin to act accordingly. It is time for parents to tell their children that humans come in all sizes and colors and one is not better than another.
If you have a white dog and a black or brown dog, do you love one more than the other? We can no longer wait for the process of evolution to stamp out racism. It is every person’s job to make this happen now.
