Letter: Pyle was unfair to baboons

(Tsvangirayi Mukwazhi | AP file photo) A baboon sits under a tree in Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe, on Oct. 27, 2019.

Kudos to George Pyle on his Feb. 9 editorial, “Whether it’s Pooh or porn, stories are not reality.” Well written and timely.

However, I strongly disagree with his characterization of “the baboon in the White House,” which is highly offensive to all the stately Old World monkeys of Africa and Arabia.

Incidentally, baboons are known to communicate with each other by unique vocalization, a talent unknown to the current occupant of the Oval Office.
