Letter: Canadian medicines aren’t Mexican narcotics

(Scott Sommerdorf | Tribune file photo) Salt Lake County Sheriff Rosie Rivera was the keynote speaker at the Utah Law Enforcement Memorial, Thursday, May 3, 2018.

What is Rosie talking about?

Salt Lake County Sheriff Rosie Rivera published a wordy article in the Dec. 3 Salt Lake Tribune criticizing foreign purchase of prescription drugs.

She somehow equates Canadian pharmaceuticals with Mexican and Chinese illicit narcotics. Really?

With a do-nothing Congress, buying prescription drugs from reputable Canadian pharmacies may be the only economical avenue for many U.S. citizens.

The sheriff would better spend her time trying to arrest and house criminals walking our streets free without consequence due to her jail housing crisis.
