Letter: Is it worth losing your soul?

(Andrew Harnik | AP file photo) President Donald Trump smiles during a news conference at the G-7 summit in Biarritz, France, on Aug. 25, 2019.

When will the citizenry of this state, especially the religious, come to grips with the fact that our current Oval Office occupant is a ne’er-do-well who can’t be counted on to do anything for the collective good of this country. One who only looks to enrich the already rich, and continue to deceive and mislead the rest of his followers, who are quite gullible and willfully blind to his plethora of misdeeds and crimes.

Are tax cuts for the rich and anti-choice and anti-LGTBQ judges really worth selling out our country's integrity and quite possibly you selling your own soul by following him?

Tell me, how holy is that? What would Jesus do?

Support free news for Utah

sltrib.com is now free to access — no subscription required. We made this decision because we believe access to trustworthy, independent news shouldn’t depend on what you can afford — especially as misinformation and AI-generated content continue to rise.

Free to read doesn’t mean free to produce. Our reporters show up every day to ask hard questions and hold powerful institutions to account. That work takes resources. As a nonprofit newsroom, we rely on support from people who believe it matters. Make a donation today to fund local news that serves Utah communities.
