Letter: Trump has blown the whistle on himself

(Manuel Balce Ceneta | AP) President Donald Trump speaks at the Young Black Leadership Summit 2019 in the East Room of the White House in Washington, on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019.

The identity or credence of the whistleblower is totally irrelevant, as Donald Trump himself produced the partial evidence of the crime.

It’s like being mad at the detective who discovers a murder.

Read “The Art of the Deal,” the con man’s bible, to understand this diversionary tactic.

sltrib.com is now free to access — no subscription required. We made this decision because we believe access to trustworthy, independent news shouldn’t depend on what you can afford — especially as misinformation and AI-generated content continue to rise.

Free to read doesn’t mean free to produce. Our reporters show up every day to ask hard questions and hold powerful institutions to account. That work takes resources.
