A wise man had a dream “that one day they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character” (Martin Luther King Jr., Aug. 28, 1963).

Recently you published Public Forum letters lamenting the lack of published letters in support of President Donald Trump.

One letter writer went on to list his accomplishments. I couldn’t help noticing that list came straight from the claims of our president. A lot of us do not attribute this to him or his leadership skills.

I am not sure how I am supposed to like the character of this president if he keeps denouncing “enemies of the people.” So far, he has publicly denounced the media, Democrats (all liberals?), the FBI, the CIA, the judiciary, senators and representatives (by name), and now Google, Facebook and Twitter.

As we get closer to the election, we will hear more outrageous claims, because that keeps him in the headlines. He knows how to manipulate the media. This is called hypocrisy, if you haven’t caught that.

I also get concerned when he seems to cozy up with tyrants and dictators and denounces the great established institutions of his country.
