Letter: How about some letters supporting Trump?

(Evan Vucci | AP Photo) In this June 26, 2019, photo, President Donald Trump speaks to reporters on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington. Trump is receiving mixed reviews for his stewardship of the U.S. economy, even as Americans feel increasingly good about how things are going. That’s according to a new survey by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

I've been a subscriber to The Salt Lake Tribune for 20 years. I read the letters published every day with great interest because I love this great state.

The one thing that bothers me is the fact that Utah is one of the most conservative states in the country, yet the letters section regularly contains a majority of letters derogatory of President Trump even though he won the state of Utah in the 2016 election.

I, personally, had reservations about voting for Trump in 2016, but took a chance on him because of his campaign policies.

As it turns out, his policies have proven to be very positive, the lowest unemployment numbers ever, black and Hispanic unemployment at all time lows, my 401K is up over 40 percent, criminal justice reform has been passed into law, the stock market at all time highs, people on food stamps reduced by 40 percent, home ownership at all time highs, and may other positive things happening today, yet never a word about all of these positive developments are ever mentioned.

I would like to see a more balanced letters section, where some of the positive events happening under Trump are at least mentioned from time to time.
