Letter: Misspending on Orrin Hatch’s honorary library
(Rick Bowmer | Associated Press file photo) In this Feb. 21, 2018, file photo, Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, waves after addresses the Utah Senate while Senate President Wayne Niederhauser, R-Sandy, looks on at the Utah State Capitol, in Salt Lake City.
I would like to thank Rep. Patrice Arent for trying to remove a $1.5 million appropriation for the planned Orrin Hatch Center from the budget. I strongly feel that taxpayer money should not be used for that purpose. Wasn't providing his income for 42 years enough?
Elizabeth Tucker, Salt Lake City
