Letter: How about two Navajo counties?

(Leah Hogsten | The Salt Lake Tribune) l-r Rep. Paul Ray, R-Clearfield chats with incoming Rep. Phil Lyman, R-Blanding prior to the special session. On Monday, Dec. 2, 2018 during the special session, lawmakers overhauled the Utah Medical Cannabis Act's distribution system, reduced the number of medical marijuana outlets, prohibited edibles and changed the list of illnesses that qualify for cannabis treatments.

Utah state Rep. Phil Lyman suggests it might be a good idea to split San Juan County. I agree. But we all know this is motivated by the same intentions which disenfranchised the Navajo voters in San Juan County for 50 years.

Ok. Let's split it into two counties, each having a Navajo majority.

What do ya think, Phil? Great idea, right?

Dennis R. Edmonds, Sandy
