I have read so many letters to the editor that basically say, Why vote?
I, too, feel disenfranchised by the way our votes are counted, not only at the local level but also at the national level.
But if we don’t use this most basic privilege that is guaranteed us by living in a free country, then we give up our most potent voice. And then we let the cynicism, fear and negativity take control.
Each of our voices is important and necessary, please vote.
