Letter: Love insults her own constituents

(Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune) Rep. Mia Love, R-Utah, in Salt Lake City, Wednesday Oct. 17, 2018.

So, Mia Love thinks she lost the election because the Democrats “targeted” her because of her race and gender. Isn’t this an insult to the constituents in the 4th Congressional District?

Love seems to be saying that the voters in her district are not capable of determining the difference between politics as usual — cheap shots taken and given on both sides — and real racial bias.

The voters voted for Ben McAdams because they can no longer support a representative who votes with President Donald Trump more than 90 percent of the time. They can no longer tolerate a candidate who refuses to have town hall meetings. And they can no longer support a candidate who is mega-funded by big, out-of-state donors who care nothing about Utah. Your former constituents are smarter than you think, Mia, and they deserve an apology.
