Letter: Stop the telemarketers and you’ll get my vote

(John Raoux | AP Photo) This Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, file photo, shows a call log displayed via an AT&T app on a cellphone in Orlando, Fla. The app helps locate and block fraudulent calls, although some robocalls do get through. A federal appeals court has rolled back rules intended to deter irritating telemarketing robocalls, saying they were too broad.

Whew, I'm glad the elections are over. We get a reprieve for at least another year, before the whole negative cycle starts again.

Just want to let any potential candidates for any political office know that David T. Lancaster's vote is for sale. Not only will I vote for, but I will also donate time and money to any candidate that promises they will make telemarketers calling me on my cell phone a criminal offense.

I am inundated with calls. I am on the do-not-call registry, but that does not stop them. They are very good at masking their calls.

I am sorry, but I am not interested in lower credit card interest rates, nor am I excited that I won a vacation package to Florida, and I don't need any more Viagra. There is the internet If I need any goods or services, thank you.

So there it is, Mia/Ben/Donald. This is the main issue for this letter writer.

David T. Lancaster, Murray
