Letter: How can you like Trump and hate Clinton?

(Jae C. Hong | The Associated Press) In this June 1, 2016, file photo, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump wears his "Make America Great Again" hat at a rally in Sacramento, Calif. Hats with the now popular slogan is a possible gift idea for this holiday season.

Why is it that many of the same people who enthusiastically endorse President Trump hated Bill Clinton? I have a difficult time understanding why this would be.

Is it simply that one wears the Democratic blue and the other Republican red, or is it more than that?

Right now the economy is doing really well (despite stagnant wages), but that can’t explain it because the economy also thrived under Clinton’s watch. Is it the deregulation that Trump champions? Clinton signed the Financial Services Modernization Act and led the way on welfare reform, so it’s probably not that either.

Was it Clinton’s infidelity that made people dislike him? Was it his lack of honesty? In both cases, even the most ardent MAGA cap wearer must admit Trump easily trumps Clinton.

Trump supporters who disliked Bill Clinton, please enlighten me as to what makes one a great president and the other worthy of impeachment?
