Letter: Hatch shows a lack of character

The Salt Lake Chamber honors Sen. Orrin G. Hatch as the 39th Giant in Our City, in honor of his service and professional achievement, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Grand America Hotel.
A few days ago the late Sen. John McCain was honored in our nation’s capital by many government officials, including a crying Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch caught on national TV news cameras.
Great anger came over me because this is the same Hatch who, along with Rep. Chris Stewart, is among President Trump’s biggest supporters and defenders even as he mocked the late senator.
Such behavior speaks volumes of the lack of character or decency of both men.
