Letter: Utah senators must make sure we get a voice in picking next SCOTUS justice

(Jessica Gresko | The Associated Press) This April 23, 2018, file photo shows the Supreme Court in Washington. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy is stepping down, giving President Donald Trump a shot at remaking the high court into its most conservative version in decades when he names a replacement.

Just as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell tweeted so unambiguously on Feb. 13, 2016, “The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice.”

Sens. Orrin Hatch and Mike Lee should do everything in their power to make sure this happens. Anything less would be shameful hypocrisy.
