Letter: Humans are alone in destroying life and land for ‘fun’ or evil

(Courtesy the Utah Division of State Parks) A woman shows where a dinosaur track is imprinted into the red sandstone at Red Fleet State Park near Vernal, Utah.

I am sickened by the vandalism of dinosaur footprints at Red Fleet State Park outside Vernal. I am sickened that the human race destroys such treasures.

We, of all creation, should make the right decisions about how we treat this Earth. I’m not sure quite how to say it, but “miracle” and “perfection” are words I’ve determined come close to describing our planet.

We humans are the only conscious destroyers of life and land for “fun” or evil. Our brains can and should help us revere this precious Earth. Planet Earth is the miracle that allows our existence. There is no greater fortune to be had.
