Letter: The solution is to just arm everyone

Scott Sommerdorf | The Salt Lake Tribune A man who refused to give his name because he claimed he was mis-identified as a "counter protestor" at a previous rally stood with pro-gun March Before Our lives marchers as they rallied across the street from West High School, Saturday, March 24, 2018.

Both the anti-gun and the pro-gun factions are looking at this societal violence problem all wrong.

The answer is not to surreptitiously arm a few school employees. Arm everybody. All the students. All the teachers. Everybody. If someone cannot afford a gun, let the government buy them one.

Have shooting classes instead of, or in addition to, physical education. You won’t have any more incidents of “mass shootings” with this plan in place.
