Letter: New IHC clinic in Sandy is a disappointment

We have watched the construction of the new Intermountain Health Care Clinic in Sandy for many months. We had high expectations for the facilities and last week we had our first appointment. It was a real dis-appointment.

First, we couldn’t fit our accessible van into the parking space. Next, we discovered that the examination room was tiny. It was too small for our mobility chairs. My husband parked his chair outside the room and the nurse helped him in. There was not enough room for the staff to perform the exams comfortably.

Then came the topper. The doctor had to let us out of the hallway exit using his ID badge. We couldn’t even get out on our own. This is bad enough for a standard business, but for a hospital?

Come on, Intermountain, you can do better than this.
