Republican Scott Chew is running for another term to represent Utah House District 68 after more than a decade of service in the Legislature.

Sonya Ray, member of the Constitution Party, is vying for his job to represent Daggett, Duchesne, Summit and Uintah counties.

Ray is a former teacher at the White House Academy in Vernal and a nurse aide, according to her Facebook page.

Voters will go to the polls Nov. 3 — or vote via other means before that — to decide who will represent them in the Utah State Legislature next year. Voters must drop mail ballots in a drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day or return by mail in time to reach the clerk by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

The Salt Lake Tribune sent a questionnaire to each of the candidates. Neither candidate for House District 68 responded.
