These are the Salt Lake County businesses that had COVID-19 outbreaks
(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) The area known as The Canyon begins to take shape with crews stretching fabric over metal fins to simulate southern Utah canyon walls during the first phase of construction of the Salt Lake City International Airport on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
The Salt Lake County Health Department on Friday released a list of workplaces who have had two or more coronavirus cases — the department’s definition of an outbreak.
In response to a public records request, Salt Lake County omitted the names of nursing homes, day cares, schools and correctional facilities that have had outbreaks, saying they are kept on a different reporting system. Even so, the list includes 565 workplaces that have met the health department’s definition of an outbreak — at least two cases where workers are suspected to have contracted COVID-19 on the job.
