South Salt Lake dedicates police headquarters for David Romrell, who died in the line of duty

South Salt Lake on Sunday named its public safety building in honor of David Romrell, who died on duty on the same day a year earlier.

The building at 2835 S. Main St. will be known as the David P. Romrell Public Safety Building.

Romrell died Nov. 24, 2018, when he was struck by a car in a confrontation with two burglary suspects near 3300 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake.
