Two people were found dead at Bryce Canyon National Park.
Garfield County Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered the bodies Thursday morning, the sheriff’s department said in a statement Friday. The man and the woman, both from Texas, are believed to have died by suicide.
Deputies began searching for the two people Wednesday after receiving a call from the woman’s mother.
Deputies were able to ping the woman’s phones in one of the park’s canyons but were unable to find them until Thursday morning.
The Utah Department of Public Safety Aero Bureau and Bryce Canyon park rangers also helped in the search and recovery.
