Ogden students, farm supply store battle over access to road

Ogden • A Utah school district is suing a neighboring business after the business erected a barrier blocking access to a road that students, parents and faculty of the district say would make their commute much safer.

The Standard-Examiner reports Weber School District in Ogden is suing IFA Country Store for access, and the most recent ruling was in favor of IFA.

In order for students and staff at Weber Innovation and Two Rivers high schools to use the traffic light to access their parking lot, they would need to drive on the road built on IFA property.

County records label the road a public easement, but the farm supply and plant store says the road serves as a public easement only to other properties within the same subdivision.
