Ogden • A Utah school district is considering closing schools after voters turned down a $106 million bond.
KUTV-TV reports Ogden School District is considering a lease revenue bond or asking voters to approve another bond to replace and rebuild schools after voters turned down the last bond last November.
The district is considering shutting down Gramercy Elementary School.
District spokesman Jer Bates says funding isn’t the only reason the school could close. Gramercy Elementary also has seen a 3% decrease in attendance from last year.
The school board wants to hear opinions from the public at its upcoming meetings Feb. 15 and March 4.
