A new 40,000-square foot, 13-court indoor pickleball facility will open this month in Utah County.
The Picklr Lehi is the Kaysville-based company’s first in Utah County, and will include two “championship-sized” courts, full locker rooms and showers, a player’s lounge, private event space and a podcast studio when it opens on June 21, according to the news release.
(A championship-sized court is 5 feet long and wider than a regular court, though both are regulation-sized.)
The company has 47 open locations, with only six larger than the Lehi facility, which is actually located in Saratoga Springs at 629 N. Saratoga Rd., near the border between the two cities, according to a company co-founder Austin Wood.
Wood, who is also the company’s “chief visionary officer,” said the company has been eyeing Utah County since they opened their first facility in Uintah in 2021.
“There is an amazing population of pickleball players in Utah County without a premium indoor pickleball facility that could really meet all their needs,” Wood said.
The Picklr now has seven open locations across the state, and has expanded to 29 other states. The company also plans to open The Picklr Bluffdale (located in Herriman, on the border between the cities) later this summer at the former Royal Courts building, at 15892 S. Rockwell Park Cv.
That facility will host 10 courts, a lounge for players and spectators as well as rentable office space —a “unique feature” not offered at other locations, Wood said.
A second Utah County location — in Spanish Fork — is anticipated to open next spring.
