Fire at recycling center in Salt Lake City could continue for days

Officials say they don’t know what started the fire.

(Salt Lake City Fire Department) Crews in Salt Lake City are now responding to a fire that is sending smoke into the air. The fire is at the Metro Group Recycling Center at 3150 Harvey Milk Boulevard.

FOX 13 News has a crew at the scene who are seeing the flames coming from what appears to be a pile of recycled vehicles.

Officials say they don’t know what started the fire. They do expect the fire to continue burning throughout the day due to what is burning.
