Police ask anyone with information to come forward.

(Unified Police) The two suspects who shot an autistic teenager with a BB gun are believed to have been in this car.

Police are searching for two people who reportedly shot an autistic teenager with a BB gun in a Magna grocery store parking lot.

According to Unified Police, the 17-year-old victim was working at the Smith’s Food and Drug at 8055 W. 3500 South on Jan. 8 at about 10:30 p.m. when he was shot at.

The teen was in the parking lot collecting shopping carts at the time. That’s when two males in a blue sedan drove up, fired the BB gun at him and reportedly laughed as they drove away.

The boy was hit three times in the back. He was not seriously injured, but he has been too upset to return to work since he was shot, according to police.

A surveillance camera captured the car that the shooters were in, but the footage “is not very clear,” according to police.

Anyone with any information about the shooting may call Unified Police at 801-743-7000.
